Last week, our Year 3 children ventured out to Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse on a Neolithic day as part of their topic ‘Footsteps into the Past’. They explored life 5000 years ago through four interactive sessions that gave them a fantastic insight into Stone Age farming, hunting, shelter building & tool making. They hunted for animals in the wood, forged their own Neolithic tools, ploughed a field using the ard plough and made a Neolithic shelter.
A huge thank you to the Gressenhall guides for an inspiring day of learning!
