Adventure Service Challenge Scheme

The Adventure Service Challenge Scheme, otherwise known as the ASC Scheme, is a three-fold, integrated, interwoven scheme of activity for children. It offers activities of:
ADVENTURE - Discovery, exploration, leisure pursuits, attitudes to and skills for life.
SERVICE - Concern for others, opportunities for helping those in need.
CHALLENGE - A comprehensive and complete training programme.
The ASC Scheme is complete in itself. It is also designed to prepare young people for the Duke Of Edingburgh's Award. In fact, the D of E Award HQ recommends the scheme for that purpose. Sessions are held on friday evenings form 4:15pm until 5:45pm each week and in order to complete each stage the children will be expected to attend regularly.

Children will be given record cards for the various stages which need to be kept and signed when an activity has been successfully completed. Badges and Certificates will also be presented.
